Up until this week I had only painted one kitten.  No other animals, So I am having fun painting different farm animals this week.   These goats are from the Hux Family Farm in Durham, NC.  So adorable.  Lyn Hux tells me they do goat yoga.  Check it out if your in the area!

Day #3 Old Faithful

Old Faithful  - Day 3 of 30 paintings in 30 days

This boat was sitting in a pond in Martha's Vineyard in early spring.  It looked old but terribly useful. I loved the way the sunlight played on the sun bleached turquoise boat and the reflected light in the water. As an artist, I am definitely drawn to painting the effects of light.   As I was taking a number of photos of this boat, a beautiful Mallard duck decided to get in the shot.

Late to the Party  - Day 2 of 30 paintings in 30 days

I love that we have a farm nearby that I can go to take pictures and paint. I took this picture several years ago along with a ton of others that are patiently waiting to be painted. . The smartphone is my detriment, as I always have a camera where ever I go .  I don't know what the hen party was all about, but this one chicken didn't want to miss out.
